Planting fest

February 26th, 2010 · 2 Comments · 2010 Chilli's, Chilli Seeds, Growing Chillis

A bag of peat pockets arrived today, so I put them to good use.

I consulted the Stella tin of seeds.

I planted 20 seeds I got out of the Red Thai chillis which Pho Cafe uses. I’ll give most of them away to encourage some more chilli growers.

The Pho Cafe chillis look good, they are what we use for the Berkhamsted Chilli Growing Society logo.

One propagator full.

I copied Greenbuds chilli mapping system. I planted some old favourites.

  • Thai Reds from Pho Cafe x 20
  • Demon Reds x 4
  • Peperone/Hot Pepper Fuego x 4
  • Chilli Pepper Heatwave x 4
  • Vulcao x 4

  • Pepper Orchid chillis x 10

The only thing that had grown in my McDonald sauce cup was a funghi, it doesn’t look like a magic mushroom.

I used the rest of the peat pockets to fill up a 2nd propagator.

  • Bhut Jolokia x 4
  • Black hungarian x 6
  • Tobasco x 3
  • Etna x 2
  • Bulgarian Carrot x 5
  • Black Hungarian x 2
  • Vietnames Tear Jerker x 3
  • Congo Black x 3
  • Fatalii x 5
  • Thai Dragon x 3
  • Cumari Do Para x 4
  • Cereja Grande x 8
  • Red Mushroom x 1

Now to wait for them to hatch.
