Stop! It’s Hammer Time

The Chairman of the newly formed Aston Clinton Chilli Growing Society invited me to an 80s theme party at his house.
I packed a few chilli gifts, grabbed a can of Party Seven, jumped in the Hammer mobile and rushed to snog Maggie Thatcher.

A bag of peat pockets arrived today, so I put them to good use.

I consulted the Stella tin of seeds.
I planted 20 seeds I got out of the Red Thai chillis which Pho Cafe uses. I’ll give most of them away to encourage some more chilli growers.

I went on holiday for a week and gratefully left my baby chillis with a BCGS member

Here they are on the way to their baby sitter, all alive and kicking.

Here they are again a week later, a few of them looking ill or dead. Plenty of time to plant some more though. The Toyota was also dead when we got back to the airport but that’s another story.
